Read through the PP. Don't just glance through it. I suggest that for every slide that contains text, you make at least one point about the information contained within. For every slide that contains an image, make a point that summarises the message portrayed by the image.
You are then to read through the three case studies given to you. Using ONE of these case studies, you are to answer the SC question given at the end of the PP. As the question carries five marks in weighting, it elicits at least five problems being discussed. Use the case study, and the points you have made from the rest of the PP to support your response.

Super 8 Soldiers Part III
1.What happened to the young officer on the night of the ‘mortar’ attack? What does this say about the soldier’s mindset?
2.What actions by the university students and unions in Australia angered the soldiers in Vietnam? Why?
3.What happened just hours before the soldiers were due to leave Vietnam? How did this make them feel?
4.What does the soldiers ‘missing their mums’ more than anyone else reveal about their character?
5.How do you think the soldier’s felt when they returned home? In your answer, make reference to the fact that they felt as though they had been trapped in a ‘timewarp.’

Use this reading to create a fact file about Australia's involvement in the Vietnam War. You need to present the file on an A4 piece of paper, including at least ONE image, and the following sources of information in a creative way.

Assessment Reflection
It is obvious that some of you haven't taken this assessment, class or teacher seriously. So its time to find out why. Write a short reflection (100-150 WORDS) about PART B of the assessment task.
Evaluate what was achieved and or displayed. What was the best aspect of the presentations. What was the worst? What more could we have done as a group? You as an individual? Me as a teacher?
The most important thing is to be honest. If it didn't work, why? If if did, why? I'll also give my opinion. Feel free to add or comment on it also as you wish. Feel free to assess what you deem to be appropriate.
